What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. They help a site remember preferences, keep essential features working, or understand aggregate use. This specialty espresso café site uses them sparingly.
Categories
Strictly necessary — deliver the site, remember cookie consent, support basic form security.
Analytics — optional aggregate visit insights (for example which café pages are read). Load only with Accept all or Analytics enabled under Customise.
Preferences — optional interface choices. Load only with consent.
Storage duration
Consent records in local storage last up to six months, matching the banner. Analytics cookies, when enabled, may last from a day to about thirteen months per vendor defaults. Necessary cookies last for the session or up to six months for consent memory.
Vendors
Hosting may set infrastructure cookies. Google Fonts may receive network requests to render Urbanist, Crimson Pro and Source Code Pro under Google’s terms. If we enable analytics, the vendor will be named here and in the customise panel. We do not run ad retargeting networks against café guests.
Changing consent
Use Accept all, Reject all or Customise. Reset by clearing site data for brewrush.life, then reload. Or email [email protected].
Browser controls
Browsers can block or delete cookies. Blocking necessary cookies may break consent memory or forms. Use browser privacy settings and vendor opt-outs when analytics are on.
Examples of necessary storage
A key such as brewrush_cookie_consent stores whether you accepted, rejected or customised cookies, with a timestamp so the banner can return after six months. Session cookies may stabilise navigation between menu, visit and contact pages during a single browse.
Analytics detail
When enabled, we review aggregated counts — for example brew board views versus visit page views — not identity dossiers. We prefer privacy-respecting configurations where vendors allow.
Preferences detail
Preference cookies might remember that you saved custom choices. They are not required to read hours, allergen notes or East Coast Road directions.
Fonts and third-party requests
Remote fonts may expose your IP to the font provider. Blocking third-party fonts still leaves the café site readable with fallbacks.
Do Not Track
There is no uniform DNT response. Banner controls are the primary consent tool here.

Further cookie guidance
Rejecting optional cookies will not stop you reading about espresso, milk texture, batch brew, pastry allergens, opening hours or East Coast Road directions. It may limit our ability to see which pages help guests most. Accepting analytics helps us notice broken links or confusing visit instructions faster.
Customise mode lets you enable analytics without preferences, or preferences without analytics. Strictly necessary remains on because consent memory and basic security need it. After six months we ask again so consent stays fresh under our café website practice.
If you clear cookies daily, you will see the banner often — that is expected. If you use private browsing, consent may not persist between sessions. Shared devices in offices should use Reject all if colleagues should not inherit your analytics choice.
